Best StarCraft 2 Betting Sites

We have reviewed every StarCraft 2 betting site that players from across the United States can access today. These sites are based offshore, which allows them to welcome customers from any state. They hold remote gaming licenses in their jurisdictions, and it is perfectly legal for American bettors to sign up with them.

After conducting a thorough review process, we decided that these are the 10 best StarCraft 2 betting sites:

  1. Bovada – Best overall sportsbook for betting on StarCraft 2
  2. BetOnline – Very competitive StarCraft 2 betting odds
  3. Everygame – Very broad StarCraft 2 esports coverage
  4. MyBookie – StarCraft 2 sportsbook with a great loyalty program
  5. BetNow – Best site for StarCraft 2 esports crypto betting online
  6. BetUS – Large bonuses for esports betting fans
  7. SportsBetting.ag – Sharp StarCraft II betting lines
  8. XBet – Best StarCraft 2 betting site for beginners
  9. BUSR – User-friendly interface for betting on StarCraft 2 esports
  10. GTBets – Great odds and bonuses for esports betting fans

We considered the strength of each bookmaker’s StarCraft 2 coverage. That included the number of tournaments and matches featured, the breadth of betting options and the quality of the odds. We also factored in the user experience, bonuses, payout speeds, security, reputation and customer service.

Reviews of the Best StarCraft 2 Betting Sites

Each StarCraft 2 esports betting site has unique strengths. For example, some offer more prop bets than their rivals. Others provide the earliest lines and the most attractive odds, while some sites give out the largest bonuses. Read our reviews of the top five sites to bet on StarCraft 2 and decide which is right for you:

1. Bovada – The Best Overall StarCraft 2 Betting Site

Bovada StarCraft 2 betting

Bovada is the best all-round site for betting on StarCraft 2. It covers a variety of tournaments in detail and it provides a broad array of wagering options on the biggest matchups. You can enjoy live betting after the action has started, and you will find lots of futures betting markets too.

The StarCraft 2 betting odds at Bovada are competitive. Its bonuses are not quite as large as rivals such as BetUS and BetOnline, but they come with more appealing rollover requirements. The main Bovada promo code earns you a first deposit match bonus. Bovada also offers a strong loyalty program. As such, you can unlock a great deal of added value at this StarCraft 2 betting site.

Bovada is one of the best overall betting sites for American players. It is available nationwide, and it is specifically designed for the US market. A sister site, Bodog, covers the rest of the world. It has an elite sportsbook, the busiest poker room in the USA, a casino, a live dealer casino, a racebook and a vibrant esports hub. The interface is clean and user-friendly, customer service is strong and payments are released rapidly.

Pros:

  • Trustworthy StarCraft 2 betting site
  • Covers lots of tournaments in great depth
  • Often provides same day payouts
  • Appealing rollover requirements
  • Great loyalty program

Cons:

  • Smaller welcome bonus than some rivals
  • Often slower to release lines than BetOnline

2. BetOnline – Great StarCraft 2 Betting Odds and Early Lines

BetOnline Promotions for StarCraft 2 Betting

BetOnline is another popular offshore betting site. It has a reputation for offering early lines, attractive odds and loads of prop bets. In 2020, it invested in a major overhaul of the interface. It is now a modern, stylish betting site, which looks a lot more professional and polished than the likes of BetNow, BUSR and GTBets.

The brand is similar to Bovada in its scale and ambition, providing a sportsbook, casino, racebook, poker room and esports betting platform. It is often quicker to release lines than Bovada, and it has larger bonuses. The BetOnline bonus code for new customers is a  match deposit bonus. However, it comes with difficult rollover requirements, which diminish its overall appeal. On the plus side, you will get a  rebate on any esports net losses you suffer, and there is an esports parlay boost bonus too.

BetOnline does not offer as many esports betting options as Bovada, and it often covers fewer games. It is still one of the top two StarCraft II betting sites, but we give Bovada a slight edge. It is also worth noting that BetOnline is quick to process payout requests too. If you select crypto as your payment method, you should get your funds on the same day. Bovada and BetOnline generally offer the quickest withdrawals on the market, but BetOnline does charge fees for credit card deposits.

Pros:

  • Polished user interface
  • Early StarCraft 2 betting lines
  • Attractive StarCraft 2 betting odds
  • Quick payouts
  • Rebate on esports losses

Cons:

  • Charges for credit card deposits
  • Difficult rollover requirements

3. BetUS – Large Bonuses for Starcraft 2 Bettors

BetUS esports betting

BetUS rounds out our top three StarCraft 2 betting sites. Its interface is not quite as sophisticated as those provided by BetOnline and Bovada, but it is superior to some of the other sites featured on this page. BetUS often provides more prop bets on esports matchups than rival sites too.

The brand has had a somewhat checkered history, but it has now been delivering secure, reliable payouts to all customers for several years. It has built up a reputation as a trusted, legit betting site. Its main claim to fame is the size of its bonuses. There are lots of BetUS promo codes to choose from, but the bonuses are all enormous.

For example, you can receive a sports and casino deposit match bonus as a new customer. They do come with tough rollover requirements though. There are also dedicated esports bonuses, including a cash bonus and a risk-free bet. BetUS was once active on Twitch, but it has not streamed for several months. You can place bets on StarCraft 2 at BetUS and watch the action on the StarCraft II Twitch channel, which has 2.5 million followers.

Pros:

  • Large sign-up and reload bonuses
  • Dedicated esports promotions
  • Large betting limits
  • Strong selection of props

Cons:

  • Slower to release lines than BetOnline
  • Large rollover requirements

4. SportsBetting.ag – Sharp StarCraft II Betting Lines

Sportsbetting.ag StarCraft 2 betting

SportsBetting.ag is a sister site to BetOnline. They share the same oddsmakers, customer service representatives and development teams. As such, the StarCraft 2 betting coverage at both sites is identical. They also have identical bonuses, deposit and withdrawal options and contests.

The only difference is the quality of the interface. BetOnline received a sweeping overhaul a couple of years ago, whereas SportsBetting.ag is still operating on the old platform. SportsBetting.ag is essentially how BetOnline used to look.

It is not as intuitively laid out or aesthetically pleasing. However, some players may prefer the old layout, so we deemed SportsBetting.ag worthy of a mention in this StarCraft 2 strategy and betting guide.

Pros:

  • Above average StarCraft 2 betting odds
  • Pays out in full and on time
  • Reliable, fast mobile betting site
  • Provides a results service

Cons:

  • Basic interface
  • Large rollover requirements

5. XBet – Best Esports Betting StarCraft 2 Site for Beginners

XBet Homepage Esports

XBet is a great option for newcomers to the wonderful world of esports betting. It benefits from a simple, easy-to-use interface. You will have no trouble finding your way around this online sportsbook. It does not cover as many esports tournaments and matchups as the other sites in our top five, and it is slower to release lines, but it does offer a very simple, effective user experience.

The site is also very strong for customer support. You can speak to skilled customer service agents at any time of day or night, and you should receive quick, helpful responses. That is especially important for beginners.

It is a sister site to MyBookie, one of the best online sportsbooks in the United States. It is identical to MyBookie, although it has different bonuses. The welcome bonus is smaller, but it has easier rollover requirements, so we slotted XBet in higher on our list of the best StarCraft 2 betting sites. The XBet promo code XBET50 will earn you a bonus on the your deposit.

Pros:

  • Very simple interface
  • Strong customer service
  • Appealing rollover requirements
  • Reliable, trusted bookie

Cons:

  • Smaller sign-up bonus than rivals
  • Not so good for advanced bettors

How StarCraft 2 Esports Works

StarCraft II is a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment. The theme is military science fiction. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was released in July 2010 as a sequel to the iconic 1998 game StarCraft and its Brood War expansion pack. The single player campaign is divided into three distinct installments, each of which focuses on one of StarCraft’s three races: Wings of Liberty (2010), Heart of the Swarm (2013) and Legacy of the Void (2015).

This RTS game is set four years after the events of StarCraft: Brood War. It centers on the battle for supremacy between Jim Raynor’s protoss rebels, Arcturus Mengsk’s Terran Dominion and the Zerg. The StarCraft series has sold more than 18 million copies, but it has been free-to-play since 2017.

StarCraft is widely considered to be the game that kicked off the modern esports scene. Yet StarCraft II really brought it out of the South Korean heartland and made esports popular around the world. For several years,  StarCraft II – now widely referred to as StarCraft 2 – was the largest esport on the planet. It has been overtaken by the likes of League of Legends and CS:GO, but it is still very popular.

StarCraft II can be played 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. The primary objective is to defeat the opposition by overpowering them, generally by destroying all of their buildings. Many amateurs enjoy playing StarCraft II against one another and against AI opponents, but a vibrant professional scene has flourished over the past decade too.

It’s organized into several professional teams, which take part in high-profile events such as the ESL Pro Tour. The best players earn a living from their StarCraft II exploits. You can watch them in action on Twitch and YouTube, and bet on the action at sites like BetOnline, BetUS and Bovada.

Best Markets for Betting on StarCraft 2

You will find a broad array of betting markets when you land in the StarCraft 2 section of a leading esports betting site. These are the main options available to bettors:

Match Winner

This is a straightforward wager on the winner of a StarCraft 2 matchup. It is also known as a moneyline bet. The oddsmakers will assess the strengths and weaknesses of each team or player and release moneyline odds on either winning.

There is normally a favorite and an underdog. If they are very evenly matched, you will find identical odds on either team or player winning. That is known as a pick’em, but it is rare. You just decide who will win and place your bets accordingly.

Map Winner

You will also be able to bet on the winner of each map. There are multiple maps within a StarCraft 2 match, and you can predict which player or team will come out on top each time. Certain teams and players are well suited to particular maps.

Players can bet on markets like the match winner and the winner of each map before the action starts. You can also continue betting on it after the action is underway. That is known as live betting.

Total Maps

This market allows you to speculate on the total number of maps that will be played in a StarCraft 2 matchup. It is a useful option, because you do not need to specify who will win.

The StarCraft 2 betting sites will set a total maps line of 2.5, and you can bet over or under. For example, you might find odds of +105 on over 2.5 maps and -135 on under 2.5 maps. If the match requires a third map, over bettors are paid out and under bettors lose.

Outright Winner

This is a futures bet on the overall champion of a particular tournament. The StarCraft 2 betting sites will assess the relative strengths of each player or team and release futures odds accordingly.

The odds will change over the course of the tournament. Some teams will be eliminated and others will progress, causing the outright winner odds to shift. Wagers on this market are possible until the grand final.

Correct Score

This StarCraft 2 betting market allows you to predict the final score of a matchup. For example, you could bet on MaxPax to beat Classic 2-0, or Dream to beat DongRaeGu 2-1.

It is harder to predict the correct score than to simply specify who will win. As such, you are rewarded with significantly better odds for doing so. For example, you might find -165 on MaxPax to beat Classic, but +175 on MaxPax to win 2-0.

Handicap

This is also known as the spread. It gives the supposedly stronger player or team (the moneyline favorite) a maps handicap. That provides bettors with an intriguing new wagering option.

For example, let’s say Ryung is priced at -165 to beat ZEST. You might then find Ryung -1.5 at odds of +180. It means Ryung would need to win by two clear maps, but you are rewarded with significantly better odds.

Parlay Betting

A parlay allows you to combine multiple StarCraft 2 predictions together into a single wager. For example, you might bet on three different players to win their matchups on the same day.

Every player must win for the bet to pay off. If one player lets you down, the parlay busts. That makes it a risky bet. However, the profit from each correct prediction rolls onto the next selection, leading to compounded profits and potentially large payouts.

StarCraft 2 Betting Odds

StarCraft 2 betting odds

The image above shows you a typical StarCraft 2 betting page at a leading sportsbook. It is divided into the spread, win and total, followed by map betting and then props. The odds on this page are displayed in the American format, so they start with either a plus sign or a minus sign.

If the StarCraft 2 betting odds begin with a plus, it tells you the profit you would earn by placing a successful $100 bet. For example, if you bet $100 on Dark to cover a -1.5 spread at +130, you would earn a $130 profit. You get your bet amount back when you win, so your total return would be $230. You do not need to bet $100, as that is just a guide. For instance, you could bet $20 in a bid to earn a $26 profit.

If the odds begin with a minus, it tells you the amount required to generate a $100 profit. For example, if you bet on under 2.5 maps at -135, you would need to wager $135 to earn a $100 profit. In that case your total return would be $235. Once again, the figures are just guidelines. You could, for example, bet $20 at -135 and earn a $14.81 profit if successful.

Our Top 5 StarCraft 2 Betting Tips

Our top StarCraft 2 betting tips can boost your chances of earning a long-term profit:

Tip 1: Make sure you conduct thorough research

Esports betting can be great fun, but you stand a better chance of success if you make astute predictions from a position of knowledge. Gain a solid understanding of the gameplay and the esports StarCraft 2 points system. Study the stats, get to know the teams and watch as much action as possible.

Tip 2: Shop around for market leading odds on each matchup

Rival StarCraft 2 betting sites offer competing odds on the same match, so it makes sense to choose the bookie with the best odds. That will improve your chances of long-term success. You can sign up for a few different StarCraft 2 betting sites and choose the one that offers the best odds on each game.

Tip 3: Claim as many bonuses, loyalty points and promotions as possible

Bonuses cut down the house edge that the StarCraft 2 betting sites build into their lines. The top esports online sportsbooks offer very lucrative promotions, so never miss out on an opportunity to claim them.

Tip 4: Consider full range of StarCraft 2 betting options on each match

Do not just stick to moneyline betting on the match winner. You may often find more value on spreads and props such as correct score betting.

Tip 5: Think about hedging your bets to lock in an assured profit

If you bet on one player to win a tournament and that player reaches the grand final, place a bet on his opponent to ensure you get a guaranteed profit no matter who wins. You can also consider looking for arbitrage opportunities, where you exploit discrepancies between the odds provided by rival betting sites on the same matchup and earn guaranteed profits.

The Best StarCraft 2 Esports Tournaments

The heyday for StarCraft 2 arguably came in 2017-2019, when three consecutive WCS Global Finals offered $700,000 prize pools. That level of investment allowed many pro players to thrive, and winners Rogue, Serral and Dark became superstars. The Covid-19 pandemic halted the momentum of this popular esport, but there is still a busy schedule of events emerging now.

ESL Pro Tour

The ESL Pro Tour is an annual competition that combines the past legacies of Blizzard events, DreamHack and ESL. It began in 2021, replacing the WCS and other tournaments as the pinnacle of professional StarCraft 2.

It encapsulates tournaments in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, with prize pools going up to $500,000. The ESL Pro Tour includes IEM, DreamHack, HomeStory Cup and StarLeague events.

World Championship Series Global Finals

The StarCraft II World Championships were held on an annual basis from 2012 to 2019. The series was run by Blizzard Entertainment. For all but the first year of operation, it represented the top tier of professional StarCraft 2 competition, culminating in the Global Finals.

Its prize pool started out at $250,000 for the WCS Global Finals. Then, it increased to $500,000 in 2016, and shot up to $750,000 in 2017. That prize pool was maintained in 2018 and 2019. In early 2020, Blizzard announced the end of the World Championship Series to make way for the ESL Pro Tour, run by ESL and DreamHack, with Blizzard funding the prizes.

World Cyber Games

The World Cyber Games were held annually from 2000 to 2013. This international competition encompassed a broad range of esports, including StarCraft 2, Dota 2, Counter-Strike and League of Legends.

It was resurrected in 2019 in Xi’an China, but StarCraft 2 was not one of the games covered. It was held again in late 2020, but the World Cyber Games have not returned since then.

Intel Extreme Masters

This is a series of international tournaments featuring two of the world’s most popular esports: StarCraft II and CS:GO. It is run by ESL and sponsored by Intel, the chip maker. IEM now forms part of the ESL Pro Tour. We are now into its 16th season.

In 2021, the world’s finest StarCraft 2 players battled for glory and a share of $500,000 at IEM Katowice. Serral cemented his status as the most successful player of all time by beating Reynor in the final, heading home with $171,000 in prize money. The prize pool for IEM Katowice 2022 is also set at $500,000.

DreamHack Masters

DreamHack Masters is also part of the ESL Pro Tour. It has merged with ESL to form a single entity that oversees professional StarCraft 2 competition.

Several DreamHack Masters events run each year. The prize pools are generally around $40,000 to $50,000, but players can also win Road to Katowice qualifying points.

WESG

This was another international esports tournament that included StarCraft 2 alongside other popular esports such as CS:GO, Dota 2 and Hearthstone.

In a four-year spell between 2016 and 2019, the World Electronic Sports Games handed out more than $1.3 million to StarCraft 2 players. It has not been held since the pandemic.

StarCraft 2 has been a pillar of the burgeoning esports scene ever since it was released 12 years ago. These are the key stats that highlight its success in the professional gaming arena:

  • StarCraft II tournaments have handed out $36.8 million in prizes to players over the years. That makes it the seventh most lucrative esport of all time, after Dota 2, CS:GO, Fortnite, League of Legends, Arena of Valor and PUBG.
  • The largest StarCraft prize pools were available at the WCS Global Finals in 2017, 2018 and 2019, when $700,000 per year was up for grabs. IEM Katowice now leads the way with $500,000.
  • Nine of the 10 highest earning players of all time hail from South Korea, but they all trail Finland’s Joona “Serral” Sotala. An American, Alex “Neeb” Sutherland, is in 11th place.
  • Blizzard, which was purchased by Activision and then swallowed up by Microsoft in 2022, made more than $1 billion from the StarCraft franchise.
  • A total of 2,118 professional players have earned cash prizes from organized StarCraft 2 tournaments over the years. There have been more than 6,300 tournaments. Only CS:GO and LoL have had more pro events.

Best Payment Methods for StarCraft 2

The best StarCraft 2 betting sites provide their customers with a strong choice of deposit and withdrawal options. These are the key options at your disposal when you visit the StarCraft 2 bookies featured on this page:

Bitcoin

The world’s leading cryptocurrency is available at all of the StarCraft 2 betting sites we have highlighted. They are based offshore, so Bitcoin allows you to send funds to them in a quick, secure and cost-effective way. Crypto crosses international boundaries with ease, so it is perfect for esports betting sites. In a bid to encourage crypto deposits, many sportsbooks offer better bonuses if you use Bitcoin or an altcoin.

You will just need to set up a wallet, buy some BTC and send it to your esports betting account. The funds will instantly be converted to USD, so you won’t need to worry about fluctuations in its value. It will then be converted back to BTC at the current rate when you withdraw.

Altcoins

Additional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ether, USDT and USDC are also available at many StarCraft 2 betting sites. Bitcoin offers extremely quick withdrawals, but Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin can be even quicker. Some networks also offer significantly lower fees than Bitcoin too, making them popular among online bettors.

Credit and Debit Cards

You can typically use Visa and MasterCard to fund your esports betting site account. Some sportsbooks accept Discover and American Express too. Credit and debit cards are generally used for deposits, but if your card details are saved, you can often use them to make a withdrawal to the linked bank account.

Wire Transfer

This is another common payment method at StarCraft 2 betting sites. It is a relatively slow and expensive option, but it is great for high rollers, as it facilitates large transfers. You essentially send funds across a network of banks, so it is popular for cross-border transfers to offshore sportsbooks.

Person to Person Transfer

P2P transfers are also commonly available at esports betting sites. Each payment option will have different limits and processing times. You can find all the information in the cashier section of the site, or you can ask customer service for more details.
